Nothing that I've seen, but I find it hard to believe that he will do anything but pitch in Arizona and then double A. I know he's the most pro-ready, but he hasn't pitched significantly enough over the past year+ to warrant getting to the MLB this season.

Oh I'm not expecting MLB either. No reason for that. We are longshots for the last wild card, no reason to rush him up. But he does need some innings under his belt. Maybe they will announce his pitching plans next week at the formal press conference. I've been too busy to read up on what they beats have put out there today.

Sounds like the are going to wait to get him in-house, review his throwing program and get his physical before deciding. I would think he ends up in AA before long.

In other news, per Scott Lucas Toronto released Derek Holland from AAA Buffalo.

I think Dunning's stuff is a lot better at 91-92. It looks like it gets on hitters quicker and there's a little more run on his sinker. Also, give me automatic umpires because I'm sick and tired of watching pitches in the zone be called balls and lead to walks.

Kalhoun needs to quit taking reps from younger guys. He's been beyond pathetic for all but one month this season. Just stealing a paycheck at this point

Should the Rangers trade Semien at the Trade Deadline, if an offer is favorable?

I say, yes.

There are only 2 real MIF options right now... Colorado (Iglesias) and the As (Andrus).

He is owed 6yr @ $26M per.

Known cost. Long-term commit. IF someone gets Soto... the other teams may look to add some O to close the gap.

Exactly. He and Seager were brought in for long term success. This offseason should bring in some solid pitching and we will be ok.

If the Rangers continue down this losing path, Woodward no doubt needs to be let go. This team is talented enough to be around .500. Yes the pitching and bullpen isn't great, but they aren't league worst. Some of these L's can be closely attributed to Woodward and his decisions. So cut Woodward loose, trade for a controllable starter like Skubal, Mahle, or heck even Shane Bieber (just a dream and example) and reenergize this team!

if so, then we need to get rid of a few of the aging vets (Culberson/Calhoun/Millet/etc) and bring up more young blood and see what they can do.

I'd like to see Thompson and Ragans, maybe some others? I don't think Winn or Leiter are close enough to being ready, so leave them be in the minors until 2023.
