Baseball is so stupid now. Runner on 2nd, nobody out, Odor hitting. Infield shifted so you know he's gonna be getting inside pitches. Pitcher is a lefty, leaving the door wide open for a bunt. What an infuriating game. Semien and Seager finally both produce in a game only for Woody to get outsmarted by Roogie Odor.

Also, 14 more Ks for the offense and twice had a runner on second with nobody out and and didn't even sniff third base.

Edit: Not to mention that if Adolis is in no doubles like he should be, the game is over. This isn't difficult stuff.

I blame the hats. They look like they should be in the $5 Walmart 4th of July bin

Agree. Woody's in game decision making has been lacking. Curious how much rope he has during this rebuild.

Assuming we don't make the playoffs this year, he'll likely walk into next season without an extension and that extension will depend on if we are poised to get back to the playoffs.

He's not getting canned this year no matter what.

Yeah, anything less than a total crash and burn the balance of this season, he's back. But this is definitely a make-or-break season and a half. He's given no reason to extend him so far.

And as overrated as a tactical manager may be over 162 games vs one that can keep guys feeling motivated and confident, having one that can tactically manage thru a post-season is important. I still think Wash's inability to manage in the NL parks played a role in both WS losses. Obviously that element no longer matters, but from what I have seen, I have a lot of questions about how well Woody's decision-making will hold up when it does matter more

Welp…Howard still sucks

Woof, just pulled up the live stats and down 4-0 after two.

He's got good stuff just can't control it. Too many walks and getting behind hitters.

That's the frustrating thing with him. His upside is very high but he can't consistently harness his stuff.
