He's not a bad defensive player, he's a very good one. He made a bad play. Ozzie Smith made errors too. It's part of the game and happens to even elite defenders on occasion.

I wholly agree. I think he's gotten off to a slow start. But just heard last night he was under the weather in Toronto. So that could explain it. I'm excited to see him come back to his normal form

The offense being good without Semien hitting is a great sign. He'll hit. Pitching is an obvious issue with the main solutions still need minors work

Matt Moore got called up, so it will be interesting to see where he is. He was coming back from knee surgery, so I'm hoping he has recovered.

Matt Moore looks like he has good stuff. Pitched a good inning there. Maybe a potential bullpen answer.

This team has no stopper. Last year we had Gibson. Year before it was Lynn. Now? Nobody to count on to stop a losing streak.

Not sure I have ever seen a worse starting pitching rotation. It sucks because this team can hit.

Was supposed to be Gray, but he only got one start before heading to the IL. Should be back soon though. We definitely need Perez to come through. Could've used another veteran pitcher as well, but it is what it is. Hopefully we don't get desperate and start rushing the young arms up from the minors. Need to leave them in the minors until they are ready.

Hernandez and LeClerc should both be back from injury in June sometime I believe. Never know how good they will be initially in their return from surgery, but those are a couple of potential upgrades to the pen.

Anyone expecting a playoff team this year needs to have their head examined. The team addressed one issue this offseason (hitting) and from what little I've heard it sounds like they will be going after pitching this offseason.

Patton relieved to start the 5th, Perez was only at 67 pitches. Announcers keep talking about how many innings the bullpen has thrown thus far this season, you'd think we'd try to milk another inning out of Perez there.

Clearly off speed that he missed with, unless you think we have by far the slowest throwing pitcher in the MLB. Retaliation would be pretty dumb

Our pitching is unbelievably bad. Seems like every game we give up 6+ runs.

Honestly at this point I don't really care. If we can continue to hit and get another high pick to use on a pitcher we're still on the same trajectory as we were. Anyone expecting this staff to be remotely good before the season started was very misled

This might be the worst Rangers pitching staff of all time, and that's saying something. There's not one person you trust with the ball.

I'm not saying we should call him up, but I'm confident Jack Leiter would be our best arm right now.

Hard to imagine how bad the SP is.

We are 9 GS into the season and only 1 SP has made it 5.0 IP. Dunning in G2 went 5.0 IP.

Still think we are headed in the right direction now. At least management invested in some everyday players to build around. We just need a filler pitcher or two to make the games more bearable until the kids in the minors are ready to go in 2023 (we hope anyway!).
