He has 244 wins right now and wants to get to 300. If he plays 3 more seasons, he needs to average 19 wins per year to get there. He can do that easily with the team and bullpen Houston will put behind him. That is not a sure thing with an "up and coming" team. Also don't discount how much he values having Maldy behind the plate catching him.

I meant that it was entirely within his control whether he wins 20 playing for the Astros. It is easier to win 20 for a team winning 100 games a year than it is for one winning 60 games per year. Ask Nolan Ryan what it was like being the most dominating pitcher in baseball for two decades and having a .500 W/L record because the team can't give you any run support.

Yuli- bring him back on the cheap. At worst he could take Diaz's utility role. I don't see us bringing back Diaz with Hensley around

Brantley - bring him back

Jose Abreu- he is friends with atluve and I think would come here. Maybe josh bell or Mancini if that doesn't work
Andrew Benintendi - defense and gets on base.
Wilson Contreras - he would need to be able to play some LF/1st base. But you split time behind the plate with Maldy. Gives Lee or Diaz a little more time to develop.

I don't see us making many other moves with the pitching staff.
