My father died three weeks before they won in 2017.
We had been Astros fans since 1970, Watched so many games over the years, It was bittersweet but I loved it.
And I love tonight too.
And I love you guys.
I don't either. I think about my dad a lot during baseball season. (Aggie football too) but the Astros were very special to us. I was four when I first started watching them, the year we moved to Houston. He was from Decatur, Texas, originally, attend a Texas A&M and moved around the country with my mom as a civil engineer, but before we came here, we had we had been living in the Carolinas for years where I was born, but I basically grew up in Houston.AgLA06 said:annie88 said:

Thanks to the White Sox my grandfather died without getting to see the Astros ever win a world series game. He watched every night. I bought him a big TV so could still see it at the end.
I don't take this 5 year run for granted.

I'm bawling like a baby. It's glorious.
It's amazing the relationship we have with our dads and sports. I'm a girl, but my whole family was always a big sports family. Houston teams and the Aggies. And that's been a combination at times where you have to be pretty damn stout.falcon09 said:annie88 said:

My dad passed about a week before the regular season ended. He was a .45s fan from day one, and I obviously had no other choice.
I love this team, I love you guys and I love my dad!
They freaking did it!
