Astros in 7! Let's take care of business today. Stress free dominance would be fantastic.

You can't have Yankee legend Roger Clemens throw out the first pitch when we're playing the Yankees. I'd rather invite Correa or Springer back if we want ex Astros.

Is there a rule that says a current player can't throw out the first pitch? Just let Altuve do it.

Why? Cause of the travel? And days off required?
Yep. I know they have nixed a travel days off in the schedule a couple of times this postseason but I think that is more to do with the labor lockout forcing a late start to the season. Adding more teams to the postseason is just going to limit this. Unlike the NBA and the NHL, baseball does not have a two month window in which to fit its postseason.

Heck, I'm probably wrong, Manfred is trying his best to transform MLB into the NBA.

It's nice knowing we have the home field advantage.

Edit 1: We are 3-1 against the Janks this year at home and 2-1 on the road.

And they will make this year part of it too. Its just the game they play. You can only beat us if you cheat. That will be their mantra from now till whenever

Janks playing with house money today. We need to take care of business and kick their ass. Set the tone. I want to be to their BP by the end of the 4th. This offense was been pretty quiet the last 27 innings. That stops tonight.

Would love for it to be in 4 or 5 with no stress. But I think Astros in 6 or Yankees in 7 are the most likely outcomes

Like Clemens he's been a post season contributor to both squads, but unlike Rocket he's only pitched one franchise into the World Series

Clemens had a gaudy record with NY - 83-42, but his ERA was 4.01 in 6 seasons there. Most of the winning was padded by a 20-3 season in 2001 with a 3.51 ERA when he won the Cy Young. I forgot he went back to the Yankees in 2007 for a 6-6 finale.
He only led the league in one category with them, which was winning percentage in 2001, for his whole career there.

Went 38-18 with a 2.40 ERA for the Astros and won the ERA title in 2005 at age 42 (1.87), also won the Cy Young in 2004.

Makes me wonder how many guys have won the Cy Young in both leagues. That must be a really small number.
