Is there any possible way they would push back the ALCS by a day?

Best case scenario would be a start/ stop and have to burn 2 starters.

No. Zero chance of that happening. They'll either play tonight or tomorrow afternoon and winner plays Houston on Wednesday.
They'll try to get it done tonight, but will need to be absolutely positive the rain has passed. Worst case scenario would be a start/ stop and have to burn 2 starters.

Can't. It's illegal to have the Yankees not in prime time. Punishable by death

TBS said earlier the grounds crew would need 30-45 minutes, pitchers would need 45-50 minutes once rain stops, so it's probably gonna be around then when it starts.bearkatag15 said:
Would they start a game after 10pm local time?
That should be all of AMERICAN sports, because the English Premier League doesn't have any postseason, which is the best way to do it.

Right now, there are all these little participation trophies so teams can sell locker room shirts ("Wild Card Participant! "National League West Division Champion!"). It's a cash cow for the league and it makes more fanbases feel like they have a lifeline.

So, you could say this is great for the financial health of the sport, because more fans feel engaged in the process. But there will always be fans that yearn for the days (probably before they were born) where the spring/summer marathon actually meant something tangible.

This last summer, I remember vividly telling a friend that the Dodgers should try to win 80-90 games. That they should shut guys down in August. That it didn't matter where they ended up in the playoffs as long as they qualified. I can see that being the norm soon.

Don't give more advantages to teams. Don't invent new participation trophies. Just play baseball!

That essentially what the Astros did with all the off days, just good enough to win 105+ games with our subsFarmer1906 said:
