Between the Astros, Bama, TCU/Okie Lite, Yankees, and Dodgers games yesterday, it was an all-time sports day. Not only in outcomes, but in quality of games.

Lose today. No question.
You want the team you play to have a wrecked pitching staff. Cole today means he's game 3 in the LCS and that's it. Playing game 5 they will use Cortez and who knows. The Yankees will be a wreck. Game 5 means Cleveland uses Bieber on short rest and he's not available until game 4.

I would rather play any team with a decimated pitching staff than a hot one with a chance to set up a rotation. And if Cleveland wins they are that team.

I mean, it's fun to pile on the Dodgers (and Braves, Mets, probably Yanks) but fundamentally these short series are a pretty unfair way to pick a champ after 162 game regular season has shown who the best teams are.

It's the system we have because in America we demand that a playoff picks the winner, and I'm glad the Astros keep doing well in the format, but it's a little nuts.
