The game sched sucks this year; Astros had to wait five days to play while the Mariners have been playing right along for the past few days; they came in on a high and stayed that way until Yordan hit that HR.

Speaking of the Mariners and speaking about stupid schedules, the next game is Thursday; That's ok for the 'Stros because they are sleeping in their own beds, etc while the Mariners have to stay here until they play again on Thursday. THAT suck for them!

I bet there are a lot of busted TV's in Seattle tonight.

Thank God that was an afternoon game because idlf that was a late start my ass would be drunk AF and not able to sleep for hours.

This is where the day off REEEEEEEAAAALLLLLYYYY benefits us. If we had lost it would have sucked but Verlander just didn't have it and we know we've won in Seattle (hell, swept them there last time).

But to lose it like the Mariners did and have a full day to relive it over and over and over. Soul crusher.

While Yordan is the superhero of today's game, let's not forget the following for coming through when we absolutely needed it - bullpen, Bregman, Hensley, Peña. Great job and fantastic team effort- they don't know how to quit and refuse to do so. Playoff experience from the past several years is invaluable!

I'd be willing to guess that you'll never again see a "bad" Verlander like he was today. Dude's got too much pride in his craft.

Yep. Only 4th walkoff homer in which the team was trailing at all in postseason history.

Dykstra hit one in 1986 NLCS game 3 when Mets were down by one.

Gibson in 1988. LA was down 4-3.
Carter in 1993. TOR was down 6-5.

Cole just gave up a Yankees Stadium special to RF. It's like a black hole out there sucking in baseball after baseball.

It's GM 1 of an ALDS but that was such a huge win.

If we lose with JV on the bum to go down 1-0 then GM 2 is a must win with Luis Castillo going.

If we lose there's a very real chance we're down 2-0 going back to Seattle.

And in reality Servais didn't have a choice. He has to pitch to Yordan because he's not putting the tie run in scoring position with the bases juiced and Bregman up.

His fck up was throwing Robby Ray. Yordan hits lefties, we own Ray, and Ray has never saved a game. Nothing about his decision to put in Ray makes any logical sense.

He had to pitch to Yordan but he didn't have to use Robby Ray to do it.

Two of those guys have never experienced playoff baseball before today. Yet they still came though with flying colors.
