I don't think it's burn the pen when you're starter is getting lit up in a 5 game series. You have Garcia, Javier, Brown, and Urquidy for a reason. They are there to go multiple innings if your starter gets in trouble.

If you don't limit the damage to give your offense a chance, you have to face Luis Castillo tomorrow and face a real possibility of going into Seattle 0-2.

This is a mentally strong team and there is a lot of game left, but you have to give the offense a chance too.

You have Garcia and Urquidy. They're starters. They can go 3-4-5 innings pretty easily without "burning the pen".
