That's not insane to me. Bring your best guy in during the lost high leverage spot in an elimination game.

But to keep throwing him and burning him up for today's GM 3 was dumb. With a 5 run lead after he navigates that tough spot get him out so he can still be available today.

I think it was a little insane because if the Mets hadn't scored, it could have been a higher leverage 9th inning with your shut down closer on the pine.

Leaving him out there just makes it more baffling. The Mets have solid 6-7-8 inning relievers.
