Montas schooled both of them. Not sure why, though, as they've both seen it about a gazillion times already this year. Soft away, soft low and in. Maybe they will eventually, finally get it in their rookie heads that they seldom will see fastballs with RISP until they make them pay with the offspeed stuff.

In their defense, if they had grounded to the right side of the infield, they would have thrown maldy out at third or got him in a rundown had he tried to advance. He's not winning a foot race.

Breggy has not been as bad as most guys here make him out to be, but MVP runner up Breggy seems like a long time ago. I fully expected him to hit a fly ball there and was hoping he would take the pitch.

Back in the day you were hoping he'd swing bc you knew he'd smoke it. Like you do with Yordan.

there was a hope that Bregman could get his OPS back up to .800 with a strong second half.

but he's all the way down to .755 thanks to a woeful .408 slugging.
