Has MLB cracked down on the streaming sites? MLB66 and streameast are both not working

Glad the game is on FS1 today, mlb66 has been awful lately and appears pretty much totally down right now.

I hope that home run derby play time was worth it.

Considering he made more money from that HR derby than he gets in salary for this whole season, I'm sure he doesn't regret it

I'm sure personally he didn't regret doing it. I likely cemented his ROY. But if he's out any significant time and SEA finishes just out of the WC that's a really high cost.

Not for him
He gets more money this year , wins rookie of the year and gets time cut to get to FA faster and then come contract time can negotiate for more money. The goal is playoffs but I think all of these guys will tell you they would rather get paid.

Watched some Astros Extra special on Bagwell's HOF induction. Bagwell said, "the goal is to get to the big leagues, then it's to stay in the big leagues, then it's to make some money, and then it's to win. If a guy tells you otherwise they're lying"

Bagwell always shoots straight and there's nothing wrong with what he said.

In baseball you're getting paid because you performed and your individual performance is really all you can control. Then you're just hoping they put enough guys around you to win. You can want to win all day long, but
one guy alone can't get it done.

On a different topic, that comment only even more makes me think he used steroids. I truly don't even care if he did or not. Just based on logic, most stars of that era were or they wouldn't have been stars. to be an MVP in the peak of the steroid era, the friendship with Caminiti, all the other Astros steroid ties… I think there's just too much there to think he was clean.

Yeah I just assume everyone was juicing then and don't even think about it.

So I can see both sides of this. The angels owner seems less concerned with winning and more concerned with signing popular players that gets eyes on the team and fans in the seats. It's Hollywood, and big names sell, and everyone wants to see a show, even if there's no winning behind it.
This all translates to big money coming in, even if you aren't paying top dollar for your entire roster (yes I know they have a few expensive guys but the rest are ultra cheap).

On one hand, keep him and you keep making money have over fist, but you don't get any return other than a draft pick with he leaves for free agency. On the other hand, trade him and get a bigger haul than the nats will get for Soto, but lose all that income and have the favs forming torch and pitchfork mobs to hunt you down.

If I were a GM living in reality and cared about building a long term winning franchise, I would trade him now. He's already said he doesn't want you be there long term, and his value is never going to be higher. Get a kings ransom for him while you can. He could blow out his elbow in August and his value plummets.

In '94 Bagwell hit .368 and was on pace for 47 2B, 58 HR
, 171 RBI and 22 SB!!!

That's like the very best of Yordan combined with Tony Gwynn!!!

They can try and trade Ohtani all they want. Their asking price would need to be the equivalent of JV and Tucker in return.

Good luck.

AJ has to be wondering how he earned this life of hell
this may be A.J.'s last year in Detroit.

the organization is just next level incompetent.

remember when the Tigers signed Javier Baez to a 6-year $140 MM contract in the offseason?

he is awful --- .627 OPS --- just a terrible signing

And here is the bad part of that trade. If Ohtani goes down you lose the equivalent of JV and Tucker simultaneously for as long as it takes. And as a pitcher any injury has a decent chance of being a an arm injury that costs 1.5 seasons.

For all his upside as a player when he plays his downside risk is significant.

The Mets have a better top prospects than we do but after that it's pretty thin. Going to be interesting to see what the Nats get for Bell.

He's a rental, if they give up anything near the top of their prospect list, they are overpaying by a lot

speaking of Tucker...his OPS has drifted down to .804

July has been a rough month.

need to get the OPS trending upwards

He's streaky. Pretty soon here he will turn it on and carry the team for three weeks straight. just need him to also be hot in the playoffs.

Let's go get Josh Bell

That's really the story of our season

We have some streaky guys, and if they are all hot in the post season we will run away with it.

I feel confident in what we'll get out of Tuve, Brantly (if healthy) and Alvarez.

We need 2 out of Breggs, Tucker, Peña and Meyers to be up when the time comes.

After seeing the Kyler NFL deal this week for a kid who has literally never won a big game, I am reminded that there is no price some foolish sucker won't pay.

Only the Yankees and Dodgers could afford to give away that much future for Soto. They could still just buy future talent rather than grow it.

Why would the Nats not negotiate? Part of their leverage is time left before he's a free agent. They try this again next year, it's another year gone and they lose leverage.
