oh my, did the Nationals say Patrick Corbin's contract?

$24 MM in 2023 and a staggering $35 MM in 2024.

figure that Soto will get $20 MM to $25 MM in arbitration the next 2 years...

and a team will be adding $45 MM or so for 2023 and upwards of $60 MM for 2024.

only the Yankees or Dodgers could do that

Given how they've been spending, I'd say the Mets, Dodgers and Yankees would. Only issue with the dodgers is they already gave the nationals a lot for Turner/Scherzer and got zero return on it with an NLCS loss

Is it weird and out of nowhere?

One guy puts up pretty solid numbers but everyone is eager to ship him off and the other guy is clearly a lesser player but gets a ton of love.

My wife also loves and missed Marisnick and is ready to send Chas off for "whatever we can get for him"… so you tell me.
