That's what tipped me off. He called one of Ohtani's sliders a strike when it was really 6-8 inches off the plate.

Ohtani is very good and this half AAAA lineup was overmatched, not to mention Bucknor's terrible umpiring. It is what it is. Time to see if they can look remotely competent against the bullpen.

He's much more deserving than Judge.

Basically any year Ohtani pitches and hits fairly well, he should 100% win the MVP. The only exception would be a Bonds 01-04 year.

Here is how impressive Ohtani is....

Abreu is a big, intimidating presence out on the mound, who throws 99 with a wipeout slider. Ohtani is just as big, throws harder, has more pitches and can go for more innings.....and hits like Yordan.
