You would have 2nd and 3rd. 1 out. They load the bases. They have to throw strikes. Hell the Rangers lost today on a bases loaded HBP.

Get the out had value. I just think the scenario is more valuable.

Your run expectancy goes down slightly from 1st and 2nd no outs to 2nd and 3rd one out.

Not sure I agree with not letting Lee hit. This is an early July game when you're up 13 games in the division. At some point you're going to want to see if your young catcher is up to those moments.

True but I think run likelihood would be similar with 1/2 no outs slightly more likely. It's the same reason most don't bunt in extras with the free runner.
