Wait...People were that bent out of shape for losing Josh Fields?
2016 was a rough year. And reading away for major league arm for an unknown prospect wasn't helping the team.

Damned sure was. I remember thinking at the end of the 2015 season that our ascend was happening in 2016....we beat the Yankees and took the eventual WS Champs to game 5 in the divisional round in 2015 even after completely squandering a game we absolutely should have won. 2016 was a major let down.Farmer1906 said:Ag_07 said:

Yup, but growth and success aren't linear. It's hard to keep that in mind in the moment.SquirrellyDan said:Damned sure was. Locked up to a six-year, $115 million extension, Yordan Alvarez is the face of the future in Houston and one of the best pure hitters in the game right now. @_Ben_Clemens on the Astros' decision to keep their slugging DH in the fold. https://t.co/Vv6aWksWUF pic.twitter.com/J4w7E7KtiR

A handful of Astros snuck in the back to watch Yordan Alvarez and GM James Click hold a press conference to discuss Alvarez’s contract extension. Altuve, Odorizzi, Díaz, Gurriel, Brantley, Tucker, Maldonado are who I can see from my spot.

Astros reliever Blake Taylor, on the 15-day IL with left elbow discomfort, said he is seeing the Astros team doctor later this afternoon to get a specific diagnosis and rehab instructions. He has not thrown yet since his injury.

Thanks. Is there a site that you pulled that from or did it require Mathguy magic?
wonder what happens to the data if his games vs. the woeful Orioles are removed?3B Paul 97 said:
Just saw this for Judge on Facebook. Is there a tool out there to pull Yordan's stats over his last 150 games?
will be interesting to see how Robbie Ray treats Yordan tonightAg_07 said:
Why would any team do anything but intentionally walk Yordan with Yuli behind him?
Seriously...Just every time put him on without throwing the pitches and go after Yuli.
I'm curious -- can you do the same for Yordan?W said:
career OPS for Judge:
vs. Orioles ---> 1.103
vs. Red Sox ----> .807
vs. Rays ----> .787
vs. Astros ----> .728
those are grand canyon-esque deltas

I do suspect there is something screwy going on with MLB distributing baseballs of certain deadness to certain teams or for certain games on national TV. However, I think that evens itself out in the playoffs. You can't really give dead baseballs to the umpires for one team and not the other.
