No idea why Maton was in for one batter
I know it's not, but the way things are going right now for the stros that feels like game over
The way we are hitting and scoring that feels like a 4 spot.
The infuriating part of that is that the guy had struck out already and was able to do that.

I'd like to see a replay of both of those calls by the 1st base ump.

I dunno, I'm not a doom and gloom guy, but with how suppressed offense seems to be this year we're going to have to win some close games, something we haven't been that great at.

They were trash same time last year…swept at home by the Tigers, swept in a 2-game road set against the Rockies. They were 7-10 and looked completely lifeless and were scoring 2/3 runs a game.
Pretty similar start.
Last year they scored 5 in the ninth to come back on the Yankees. So far I wouldn't trust them to score one to come back on anyone.

Fair. The division was also worse imo. Angels and Mariners aren't going to let the Astros just play with their heads up their asses for a month and then walk to the title.

I'd contend that the division might be easier since they had a challenge last year from the Mariners and the A's, but the A's cashed out and will compete with the Rangers for the cellar.
