There is just no fire on this team right now. It's tough when you lose players like Springer and then Correa. Bregman is having a great season, but he hasn't been a vocal leader in over two seasons. There is just nobody to really light a fire under their asses right now. As nice as Dusty is, he's a quiet, geriatric slug and the team has kind of followed his lead.
You need to get Yordan back and also get Siri in the line-up. I know it's early, but I just don't see it personality wise for this team. The talent is there, just not the leaders right now.

I just realized I've spent the last hour reading Babylon Bee articles on my tablet while waiting for this game to end.
Lots of cliff jumping tonight. This game will make the Astros 4-3.
The offense has been disjointed because there isn't consistency yet. Yuli was out for paternity leave. Yordan has been sick. Altuve is trying to pick up the slack. Also, we've had two off days the first week of the season. If we wouldn't have blown that game against Arizona, we'd be 5-2.
No need to panic.
Odo though and Baez, they are problems.

Most of what we are frustrated with have Dusty's prints all over it. He's been jacking around the lineup and giving off days which has screwed with the guys trying to find a groove. Still starting Castro against left handers. Somehow, Odo was set up as our #2 starter, which is ridiculous. If JV wasn't ready we needed to get Garcia or Urquidy in line. Trotting Baez out there is just a much on Click, cut him and let's fill it with someone else. Good rum hitting 3rd is ridiculous. But in positive news the bullpen additions, Siri, Peña, and Chas look good. It's early, this team will find its groove
It also doesn't help that we start off the season with a 9 game left coast road trip. **** you, MLB.
Just watched the highlights here in Florida. I made it through 3 innings last night. Can we sign Ichiro as a middle reliever after that first pitch last night?

Honestly in today's economic climate I don't see why y'all think stuff might ship early. I tend to always believe stuff will be late, never early.

Throw Maldonado in there too. Or is majority of the board still singing his game calling praises? How long can you keep defending this guy? He was an offensive liability last year and it looks even worse this year.
This You get more from Correa than his stats & defense. He was unquestionably the team leader, especially last season. He gave the team moxie and fire. Now we really don't have that......yet.Burn-It said:

Speaking of CC, what are the Astros going to do with all the money they offered him? Use it to lock-in Breggy, Tucker and Yordan? Trades? Nothing?
