I was able to get to the team store today in time to snag a blank replica city connect jersey. They still had plenty player replicas for $175 and some blank authentic ones for $350 for anyone wondering. Didn't see any of the polos, but I was rushing with not much time to look around.

175? Aren't they 150 online?
150 for the blank jersey and 175 for a player name/number from what I recall on Monday

Pro tip: Find a STH friend and take them to the team store with you so you can use their 15% off discount

I ordered one of the City Connect Polo's and checked the status this morning. Hasn't changed from "processing" so I am not expecting to see it any time soon.

All these west coast night games... and the one time I don't have work tomorrow and can stay up to watch it, we have an off day.

One thing to look forward to next year is fewer games against division opponents, hopefully resulting in fewer astros after dark games. I remember hearing that the usual 19 games per division opponent would be cut to 12 or 13 next year to make room on the schedule for playing every NL team.

I love the west coast games on weekends... granted, I'm a single 29 year old who loves to go out and have a few while watching the game.

During the week? Hard pass.

I wish they would work out a gentleman's agreement for the AL West. When the west coast teams play texas or Houston they start 30 min earlier and likewise we start 30 min later. Either that or MLB needs to make a concerted effort to have those cross time zone games on the weekend as much as possible.

Didn't they do something like this in 2020? When fans weren't gonna show up, I think they adjusted the start times to be more central/eastern time friendly because they didn't have to worry about attendance.

I just wanted to stop in and say on this off day, that yesterday's game was the worst baseball game Ive watched since at least 2015. It single handedly reversed my opinion on the extra inning automatic runner.

The ghost runner is the worst rule change of modern baseball times. It's not even close.

If they had to bring it back I at least wish it would not start until we get to the 12th inning or so. Just takes away the "earned" feeling.

Then again, Arizona had every chance to put us out of our misery. Its a good thing they suck or we may have never gotten to extras.

I didnt like it. But then I saw a team get like 14 people on base, and the other not hit more than a single and it was 1-0 in the 7th. None of this was related to good pitching.

3/4/5 - Bregman/Tucker/Gurriel

0/12 and left 13 on base

Bregs had the sac fly, but other than that the meat of your lineup went full ghost town yesterday

It feels like the Astros have had a bad start to the year and they're sitting at 4-2. That's what good teams do.

Clearly you didn't watch many Astros games in 2020

Tucker hit some balls that were ripped. His bad luck at the plate is borderline unbelievable sometimes. More than a quarter through the season last year, I remember the difference between is actual and expected batting average was insane.

Yepp, pretty damn rotten. Altuve and Bregman had a couple near homers too. Thats why as much as yesterday sucked Altuve is right "4-2, next question"

MMP
Camden Yards
Nats Park

Those are the only three I've been to

Seriously though Camden yards is REALLY nice and the Crab waffles fries they have are AMAZING

I haven't been to a ton, but I've been to some historic ones.

Wrigley
Old Yankee Stadium
Fenway

Of those 3, my favorite was Fenway, but mostly because of the atmosphere. It was a midweek night game in June, but felt like a playoff game. Those Boston fans love their team.

I will say

#1 Fenway
#2 Wrigley
#3 San Diego

Fenway and Wrigley are so nostalgic and so amazing to be at, especially growing up so far from either. It's sort of like your first time to NYC - you're so familiar with it based on how much you've seen it on TV that it's a bit surreal being there.

San Diego really built their park in a cool area with lots of interesting nooks and crannies.

1. Wrigley- for the history and Wrigleyville is awesome
2. Coors- Great views from the upper deck party areas and another great ballpark bar area
3. Dodger Stadium- the fans were dumb but the stadium holds up after all these years

Also been to new Yankee Stadium and it seemed like just another new ballpark.

I've heard from several people that Camden really is great......

BUT, for me it's

Fenway with no other comparison. It truly is what a baseball field should be. Heaven on Earth. I still get goosebumps thinking about it and the atmosphere.

Fenway
Wrigley
Coors

Hard to beat the 2 most historic ballparks which is the primary reason those 2 top my list. Also the areas around the stadiums are fantastic. For Coors, Colorado is my favorite NL team.

Camden Yards was a fantastic baseball atmosphere. Can't imagine how it is when they're contending.

Wrigley was awesome. No words needed.

Coors was unique in its own way. Kaufmann is actually really nice too.

I went to Old Busch Stadium, new Comiskey, Wrigley, Metrodome, Kauffman, and Coors all in a 2-week period in 1996. It was when the Rockies were just getting bashed for how ridiuclous the ball traveled at Coors.

Went to a day game and it was 8-5 after 2 innings.

The problem is although we used to try and go to at least a different MLB park every summer, many of those are no longer around. I think the only ones I've been to that still exist are:

  • Coors
  • Anaheim
  • San Diego
  • Minute Maid
  • Fenway
  • Camden Yards

Of these, Finway just has the unique nestalgia factor none of the others can touch. The green monster in left and an old city street turned concesion concourse is just cool. Camden Yards was neat and pretty much started the new stadium revolution. My only game there pitted the then good Orioles against the Yankees. There were more fights in the stands than hits in the game.

People will probably disagree, but San Diego is a cooler stadium than the juicebox and just a better fan experience. I think they've renovated Coors since I was there last in the late 90s and it was okay at the time. Anaheim really seemed like a dump, but I think it's been updated too since.

There's probably a time and a half more I saw a game that have been torn down since.

1. MMP, so many great games/memories the past 5 years
2. Astrodome, first big league stadium for me, incredible to see as a kid,
3. tie between wrigley and fenway,, the history, the atmosphere, etc.

Good list. I'd keep it the same or replace Coors with Oriole Park. Very different vibes at both. Coors is a party. Camden Yard just feels like baseball.

Top three:
Wrigley- obviously a classic, and the atmosphere of a packed day game is so fun.
Pittsburgh and San Diego - they have great sight lines, fantastic views looking out of the stadium, and are right in the heart of the city with stuff to do all around it.

Honorable mentions:
Camden
Fenway
Coors

Bottom 3:
Anaheim - probably the worst I've been to but haven't been to Trop or Oakland yet.
New Yankee
Philly

Next 3 I really want to visit:
San Francisco
St Louis
Kansas City
Dodger

Not including Minute Maid

1. Busch Stadium: loved every aspect of that stadium and the area with Midwest Live. Great all around
2. Yankee Stadium: (the new one) hate the team but it's an amazing stadium

I've only been to 6 including both Globe Life's, astrodome and MMP

This summer I'm visiting my dad in DC and going to Camden Yards. He's a big Rangers fan and they are playing the week I go visit

West coast stadiums just have an unfair built in advantage with weather and scenery.

I hadn't thought about the midwest stadiums, but there is a bunch of new top of the line stadiums up that way that would be fun to catch a game.

I haven't been to any westcoast parks. They'll be next on my list.
