After today, with Bregman not playing, he sits at .238/.347/.409, 12 HR in 340 AB

Chas, with his 0-4, is hitting .229/.316/.417, 10 HR in 218 AB

Chas costs $750k

He's having a nice year, but has somewhat limited. No HR power. Doesn't play a great left field. He doesn't strike out. He gets on base. He uses the entire field. I would be as lightly worried about his batting average. Pretty big gap ("lucky") between expected and actual.

Don't blame someone for changing their mind.

Without turning this into too much of a political debate it's all about risk tolerance.

Playing for the Royals who are going nowhere and accomplishing nothing then yeah it wasn't worth it. But getting the opportunity to get out of KC and play for a championship in NYC then yeah that changes things and makes it worth it.

Kinda like if you were flipping burgers at Jack In The Box and they told you to get vaxed you'd probably say F off hell no. But if a fortune 500 company came calling you for a management position then yeah you'd say you know what it's too good an opportunity to get out of this shltty job yeah I'll get jabbed.

He weighed the options and made his choice.

Getting on base at a high clip and not Striking out a lot of is a perfect get for the yanks. They've got enough high hr, high K guys.
