To me? Yes. 22 HR and 3 WAR in 66 games played to lead a surprise first-place team. He's an all-star player. I don't care how many singles he's hitting.

This seems like it was a big year for names. Vladdy Jr, George and Bichette all made it and none of them are having massive all star level years.
Bichette is having a down year with just a .731 OPS --- only 22 walks in 363 at-bats.

and Vlad jr is having a down year too --- OPS drop of 175 points (from last year).

not hitting for power like he did in 2021

If he starts Friday against Oakland at home it would mean pitching in the ASG on 3 days rest like a mid start workout. Let him throw 1 inning. And then he takes a start against NY on Thursday.

It's kind of strange. I would start him against LAA and then leave him in LA for the ASG. No reason for his to come home only to fly back to LA

Stanton just struck out staring at two pitches out of the zone called strikes. The way they have been favored all season by umps it's nice to see them get the shaft. Of course they are going nuts because it's not supposed to go that way.
