Being closer to Oakland than 1st place is not where LAA, Seattle or Arlington thought they'd be at this point in the season

It occurs to me looking at the standings that the Angels have had a crappy schedule so far. They have played 4 more games than we have. That's a lot. We had a stretch of 33 in 34 and they still played 4 more. They cannot have had many days off.

Oh well. Sucks to be them.

No different than our crazy home/road split. Scheduling is weird this year.

They've played more games because they've had longer and more homestands (36 home, 34 road vs. the Astros' 29 home and 37 road). It all evens out. By the ASB, Astros will have played 91 (42 home, 49 away) and Angels will have played 92 (49 home, 43 away). I won't be crying for them any time soon.

Not to mention our home series with the Yankees got split up to playing a one-off random game after a road-trip here in a week or so, and the two other games in Houston are a double-header immediately after the All-Star Break. We play on the 17th, then twice on the 21st. The Angels play on the 16th and then the 22nd to get a full 5 day break. Don't be surprised to see nagging "injuries" pop up during the ASB for our guys so none have to spend those 3 days flying around.

Yeah the split Yankees series is stupid. We could get Cole twice in a series and they could get Urquidy twice. Just dumb.

Things aren't like they used to be. You very well could "sweep" in a two game series, but it certainly isn't a given. We finally got a competent owner. I will say this, if their offense shows up, old school fans like myself will really enjoy watching them play. They play hard and more times than not capitalize on mistakes. Not to mention have a payroll higher than the Dodgers and Yankees, and about $85 million more than the Stros.
That would have covered some nice talent. However at No. 10 the Astros are still amongst the haves in the league as far as spending, so no complaints here.

Be careful about scammers. They're usually pretty easy to identify though. If you're in doubt you can ask the group and someone will vouch if they're legit
