This is correct. Despite our struggles, we're still performing very well in terms of OPS+ at 6 of 9 positions. This despite some of the worst luck in the league.

Bregman started 2018 with a meh April/May, then turned on the jets in June. That's what I'm hoping for this year.

Hopefully Meyers helps solve CF and Yuli gets back to hitting the way he's capable. If not, we got a move or two to make.

I'm less worried about CF. Chas, Myers and Leon are all above average defensively and on the base paths. They have shown enough to lead me to believe one can be adequate offensively.

Catcher I have no hope. Between age, advanced metrics and a general multi year downward trend, Machete is what he is. Sure maybe he can put up a .500 OPS rather than where he is now, but that's hardly saying anything. At his age, you also have to wonder if he can continue to log this many innings.

1B could use a lefty power bat as well, preferably with control beyond this year. Yuli is old and last year seems more a mirage than anything else. A great last hoorah. He still hits lefties ok and is good with the leather but it would be good to have someone who crushes righties and can take over in 2023. Maybe a guy like Tommy La Stella. Even if the Giants don't give up, I could see them trading infield depth to help elsewhere.

Yuli's BA last year (.319) is WAY closer to his career BA (.289) than this year's BA (.223).

Last year was more the norm than this year.
