Action: MLB ‘allows’ NYC journalist (who’s entire career is alive due tweeting for 2 yrs about the Astros and writing a book about the scandal) to obtain the letter before anyone else

Where does this rank in all time worst contracts given out by the Astros?

The hard part about the miss on Baez is we can't afford to blow $12.5MM over two years when we run close to the cap and tax limits.
On the other hand The Dodgers can blow $80MM on Bauer not to picture for 1.5 seasons and not care about any impact on the cap.
The Yankees were using technology Jeff. The ONLY difference was whether it was only with runners on base. The beginning of the letter says so but later on it's unclear as it just says players on the field.979ag said:These are different things. Very, very different things. Players have been trying to steal and relay signs from second base forever. That doesn’t excuse the Yankees and Red Sox, but context matters. Relaying pitches with such specificity as the Astros did was entirely new. (6/9)

Astros GM James Click on DFA of Pedro Báez: “I don’t know that there was one single thing that made the decision ultimately. We weren’t seeing the progress we had hoped to see to get him back to the form he was in when we signed him."

No thanks on Graveman and Raley.
Our BP is pretty nasty and we didn't need any addition beyond what we got in adding Montero and Neris.
Plus I think you're wrong on Correa dictating the timeline.
Click has nothing to do with Yuli, Tucker, Yordan, Altuve all sucking at the same time. That's why we're scuffling. No GM hits on 100% of the moves he makes and the Baez deal didn't hamstring us.
Sucks he didn't work out and he's sunk money but it's not why we're struggling.
"We don't anticipate any issues getting into and out of Canada," Click said about his players' eligibility for this weekend's series at Toronto.

But he will never be a MLB manager hopefullyClickClack said:
The other glaring thing about the Yankees letter is that Carlos Beltran clearly brought this sign stealing scheme using technology from the Yankees organization to the Astros and urged our team by saying we were behind the times. Because of what the Yankees were doing. None of this happens without the Yankees coming up with this. But WE take the fall, and no one will highlight this fact. Carlos Beltran won't even be mentioned either.
