Myers might be a fit if the Padres pay a good bit of that salary and don't ask for much in return. I mean, it's worth asking. He can play the corners infield and out.

The Astros have about $33m until they hit the luxury tax. If by some miracle they sign Correa even to a short but big money deal, they have to offload some salary. Crane won't go over the tax until the trade deadline. Only place I can see then doing that is trading away odo, but they would probably have to eat some of his salary.

I think your # was pre CBT changes, but with the slight CBT increase we now have 40m before the cap. I think that's room to squeeze Carlos in.
Bryant already has a ring. Rockies made the playoffs as recently as 2017 and 2018. SF and LA can't stay good forever.
The A's signed right-hander Austin Pruitt to a minor-league deal with an invite to major-league camp, they announced. Pruitt, 32, pitched from 2017-19 w/ the Rays and last year briefly with the Astros and Marlins. Career 4.83 ERA in 73 major-league games.

I do wonder if the higher luxury tax thresholds have changed their thinking about long term contracts. Correa negotiations seem kinda like they deserve the Verlander treatment... Kick the agents and GM out of the room and let it just be him and the owner and pound out a contract.

Kiner-Falefa was long a target of the #Yankees. See him as SS until Peraza or Volpe is ready. At this moment, NYY IF likely LeMahieu at 1b, Torres at 2b, Kiner-Falefa at SS, Donaldson at 3b.
