I hope Correa signs somewhere in the next couple of days, I'm tired of reading rumors.

I guess the Cubs kinda sorta make sense but they had a fire sale last season and seem to tearing it down.

Guess if they sign him to a 10 year deal he'll be around for the competitive years coming up.

Will be curious to see how the Toronto covid deal plays out. I know for fact their were many big name stars who weren't vaccinated last season.

There is a possibility that the Astros could sign a big bat corner outfielder and move Kyle Tucker to center field.

I'm with you...my wife just randomly dropped his name a few months ago when I was quizzing her if she could even name a player not on the Astros, her first cheating answer was Springer...I was like wtf?

I know we are focused on the upcoming season and signings, but looking ahead, Yuli, Brantley, Pressley, Diaz and Castro are FAs.

These signings need to take that into account.

If they sign Correa this year or another SS, they should give Pena a look as a possible Brantley replacement. Play Pena at Sugar Land in OF, so he could take the spot in 2023. 1B would be a question mark next year. If they don't sign CC, sign a corner OF this year who can play 1B next year. Yuli's decline is coming. I don't see them resigning Yuli.

Lee will be with the MLB club next year. So, no worries on Castro. We may also need a replacement for Pressley.

Yuli and Brantley are 2 that I'm sure will have a "mutual parting of ways" with the Astros. Both are nearing the end of their careers.

Diaz is very replaceable as is Castro.

I don't imagine it would be too difficult to retain Pressly, as I don't think he will be too expensive.

MLB trade rumors had an article about a month ago that implied the Rays would pretty much give him away if a team took on all of the contract. It should be an option even though he always misses time with injuries.
