I was there too. What I remember is the Red's leadoff hitter in the top of the 9th got a bloop double. I think it was Biggio who didn't think the batter touched first base so he snuck over to the bag and called for the ball. Johnson threw it over his head and now the Reds had a runner on 3rd with no one out. To say the Johnson ramped up the intensity would be an understatement. I think he struck out the next two and the Reds never came close to getting that run home.

Same reason out mascot is Orbit?


We're the Astros and our logo is a star. Neither of those are a "thing" that could be a physical mascot.

They're now the Space Cowboys and their logo is an astronaut wearing a cowboy hat…make it like a Buzz Lightyear type character with the helmet like the logo and it would actually be cool.

Instead we went with a weird puppy dog looking Sullivan from Monsters lookalike

rocket ship hat is cool, the other two are crap. All the jersey's are terrible, but then again it is minor league baseball and almost seems like a requirement to make the stupidest, ugliest jersey you can. mission accomplished Houston

I'm particularly fond of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp...and their mascot Scampi a huge shrimp.

Or the Durham Bulls mascot...Wool E Bull a walking smiling Bull

or the New Orleans Baby Cakes and their mascot the big angry baby with a bat

Or the Frisco Rough Riders and the Mascot Ted E Bear a Teddy Bear Roosevelt rough rider

....do we see my point, when you pick a name and it has a natural mascot you dont make some stupid looking bear/monster/alien
