I want to be pissed at the pitching, but it's the "NUMBER 1 OFFENSE" that blows goats

It does

But it doesn't help when your team leader (Correa) gives up. Won't take a walk, won't even run to first to bust it out. He had to go for the HERO swing

Anything can still happen with 3 more innings to bat. We've put up some huge numbers in a smaller amount of time. Giving up during the WS is just straight up pathetic no matter how far you are down.

Why can't we give any credit to Atlanta's pitching staff? They have stuck to their game plan and executed it almost perfectly with their top end guys.

It's never completely one or the other. But we had the best offense in baseball this year. And this is just flat out terrible.

I agree it's not one way or another, but dammit, they have hit their spots more often than not on the edges

Sure, we've been impatient at times, but they have been really, really damn good this series.

Probably just wanted him to ask for an appeal but it wasn't really going to make a difference. Still but hurt about the strike call in his last AB

Would be totally fine finding a trade partner for Bregman if it meant getting a legit Lefty SP

I still think Bregman is hurt and can't flex/stretch like he needs in the box.

That or we're on the hook for a lot of dead money…

Look at that no-heart Bregman.
Is he the vocal leader in the clubhouse that drives the energy of the team? I had no idea he was based on a few guys I've talked to that have played here. My apologies
I'm not sure what your point is. Or what mine is either to be honest.

Lol, I understand and I'm with ya. But I stand by what I've heard and what my eyes see.

Brantley, Tucker, Altuve, Bergman, Yuli and Alvarez have never been loud vocal clubhouse guys. These are all quiet guys. Notice a trend whth the ups and downs in overall team performance this year? Who has been pissed off about their contract all year after the offer from the Astros prior to the season?

You're saying Correa is so important to this team that he dictates the ups and downs of the entire team? Is this the point?

If so, you're making the point to pay him so he can keep the team up until he retire.la.

Did you see in any of my posts where it says not to resign him? Or did you see the importance in regards to the character and heart of the the vocal clubhouse leader?

He need to reevaluate his off-season program this year. The soft tissue stuff is kinda bad luck, but there has to be something he can do to help prevent it some.

On the bright side, Correa's price tag may have gone down after this abysmal performance.

You have to respect their pitching in this series. We're still better than they pitched but they have done a damn good job.

Atlanta has been tremendous since August 1st.

finished the regular season 36-19

and about to go 11-5 in the postseason

I know I'm beating a dead horse (aren't we all at this point?) but we are averaging 1.18 runs per 9 in 4 potential losses.

That's more than good pitching beats good hitting. That's bad approaches at the plate, no adjustments, running the same failing lineup out, no coaching, no leadership.

He needs to slim back down. He looks like Trout without Trout's frame.

Let's hope he gets on the Aroidsarena regimen of Chicken and Rice soon

It doesn't matter how much Crane offers Correa, he's going to sign somewhere else where he can be #1 A THE MAN. I love the guy but he reminds me a lot of A-Rod when he signed with the Rangers and he stopped having to split stardom with Griffey JR

Low probability that we score 7 over the next 2 innings. Regardless, it is is possible

I'm sorry, but they aren't doing anything special. Their pitchers aren't amazing. We have the absolute worst plate approach and swing at anything. We've given them the series. All they had to do was not screw it up.

If anything, their hitters have been phenomenal. They haven't missed a meatball. We've missed every meatball.

At the end of the day, on both sides of the ball, they have done a good job, and we've done about as bad as we could possibly do.

Again.. it's more about how bad we've been than anything they've done.

Probably asked if it was a strike, then mentioned that it was a strike last at bat after being told it was a ball.
