The hitters are still going to get fastball on the edges that they can't hit for power from Fried.

Surprised they made it as far as they did with their trash starting pitching. Alvarez doing nothing hasn't helped either.

We've heard numerous stories from the new guys about how mature this clubhouse was, how they didn't overreact to bad days. This includes after the game 1 failure where the locker room was described as similar to a regular season loss.

There is value in this but I can't help but feel the roster is missing that guy, or preferably those guys, who are going to react and turn this negative tide. There are too many quiet guys, too much sitting by yourself. We're waiting for someone to start it at the plate which is perfect for game #92, but WS game 6 doesn't have that luxury.

This team gave up.

I looked at free agent pitching last night. Stroman looks like a good addition in my limited opinion. 4/90 or so might do it, and he said some positive things about the Astros on SM recently.

Imagine this series if we had fully healthy JV and LMJ … well I guess you could use the same logic for if the Braves has Soroka, Morton and Acuna. But still having an established 1-2 punch in the rotation would have made the difference
