Pretty sure Valdez got 4 or 5 ground balls that inning. Not his fault that Bregman can't field or Correa and Altuve couldn't turn a tailor made double play.

With all the money coming off the books its possible to do both if Correas numbers are realistic

It's a shocker to me that we even made it this far in the postseason. We knew having no starting pitching at all wouldn't get us far. Framber is our #4 starter forced to be our #1 starter. And the fact that Correa and Bregman are 3-28 in the series is reason even more to lose the series. See y'all next year. Hopefully we go get two starting pitchers.

I would have hated to have seen what the threads looked like when the Braves were eating up the Killer Bs. This is disappointing but there is lots of blame to go around.

We need to somehow get our $35 million Grienke and $33 million Verlander and go get some pitching .. those 2 guys are 30 % of our salaries and they really don't play.. that's our main issue

At this point our hope is keep the Braves at 4. Then just chip away a run at a time.

What we can't have happen is chip away and then the Braves tack on more runs

Bregman not picking Soler's hit led to that. Albies would be out since they didn't have to turn two.

Yeah, cause pitching was the issue the last two games.


Ok, let's try and think critically here for just a second. Greinke gave you a great 4 innings- he's gone. Odorizzi has been so great that he hasn't even been used. You ready for McCullers, Valdez, Garcia, Urquidy and Odorizzi next year?

And as for Correa, he hasn't exactly helped the offense. When the entire team pulls their disappearing act at the plate, you darn well better pitch your brains out. So yeah, I stand by my point. I'd rather have a top-line starter than Correa.

Bregman is sucking in the field too unfortunately. Can't fault YA for his defensive woes with his lack of experience.
