3-1 isn't impossible.

We won 3 straight to end the ALCS, and won 3 straight to erase the 0-3 deficit last year before game 7.

That being said it'll take everybody to make it happen. Bregman needs to put the salsa down for the next 4 days and hit the baseball. Yuli and Tucker need to start driving in runners again. And Correa needs to back up the "it's my time" celebration and come up big again.

If the same team from the past 2 nights rolls out again tonight we will be watching the Braves dogpile and thinking wtf happened. But if they can go back to how they played at the end of the ALCS then we have a pretty good shot.

I think the huge home run year for Bregman has been his undoing. He is not a 40 homer a year guy. He is a .285 - .300 gap to gap 40 doubles with 15 - 25 homers a year guy. Right now, he needs to be batting 7th in the order, for sure

I know it sounds cliche but they just need to take it a game at a time.

Win tonight to get it back to Houston. Then win GM 6 to force a GM 7 where anything can happen.

At this point all you can hope for is a GM 7. Get it 7 then who knows.

He has a good eye and draws walk. I'd like to see him bat leadoff next year. That may also take some pressure off him feeling like he needs to be a power hitter.

I think lack of familiarity with Truist Park is really understated. They haven't had batting practice to learn the hitter's eye. They've had to do it in live games. Also, they've had limited practice in the outfield. Look at how Brantley crashed into the wall in Game 3 and Yordan last night.

I just think it is ****ty for games that mean so much for one team to have such a home field advantage.

What i have never understood is why the team with home field advantage in the World Series only plays 2 games at home then 3 on the road.

Seems like the format should be 3 x 2 x 2. Three at home, two on the road and finish with two back at home.

I dont hate the 2-3-2 format

The NBA does 2-2-1-1-1 but it makes the final series go about two weeks. I'd be okay with a 3-3-1. But I dont see them changing it.

The homefield comes when the series is tied 2-2 IMO. Which is what the series should be at right now if not for a putrid offensive performance the last 18 innings

3 3 1 is the fairest format, imo. only problem is that the team with homefield is very unlikely to win at home

Pretty sure they had a tarp on the field until game time yesterday. And of course they have cages at the stadium for both team to use. But hitting in a cage isn't the same as hitting in the field

It hasn't happened since 2013 where the home team has won at home so I'd say it's still unlikely in the current format. There's no perfect formula unfortunately.

I don't really think the order matters. If Correa, Alvarez, Gurriel and Tucker don't all hit you can put them in any order and it won't matter. If that group doesn't collectively get 8 hits or more it won't matter.

Agreed. I still feel like we can win this. Just gotta find a way to win tonight. Need good Framber and a couple big hits early.

I'd be down to see him batting 2nd. Brantley has been solid though so I like him in the top 5 of the lineup

Dusty won't do 3 lefties in a row even though I think the lefty/lefty hype is overrated since Brantley, Yordan and Tucker hit both sides equally well
