Growing up, I feel like if a team's starter didn't make it 6 innings for 2 games in a row the bullpen was gassed. Maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but I don't think a whole lot. Now it's like the bullpen throws most of the game every game. Are teams carrying more bullpen pitchers today? Is the bullpen quality deeper? Are they able to pitch more often these days?
