Bregman in the 3 hole is a handicap.

And for those wanting to sign correa, when was the last time anyone even argued he needed to be higher than 5th in the lineup? He's a solid ss and 6/7 hole. That's worth something but no where near what he's going to demand.

He's a good interview.

Only reason I'm really for keeping the line up the way it's been is due to the struggles of Altuve. Between Brantley, Yordan, Correa, and Tucker all before Yuli, there is likely to be someone on base and Yuli has been a wizard with RISP this season.

He's a good interview.

That says more about our lineup than it does about Correa. He had the 8th highest WAR in baseball this year. He's justified what he's going to get paid.

I think you bench both Altuvy and Correra to send the message that they're replaceable.

This team needs to play more small ball and steal more bases and sacrifice bunt whenever possible

I guess when he was hitting .500 in the playoffs last year. Wish he would do that this year.

Correa has a career OPS of .837 with over 3k plate appearances, is only 27 years old, and is an every-day SS. If that's not monster money as a position player I don't know what is.

I'm a fan of Correa after Yordan, but I'd also be fine with him batting 3rd right now. As to not shaking up the lineup bc it messes with players heads, or whatever... They aren't children. We are in the business of winning. If your 3 hole batter is struggling its hurting both him and the team. Every AB becomes more pressure for him to produce, bc he knows he's hurting the team. Dropping him makes strategic sense and could be a weight off his shoulders.

Right now, the only guys I'd take ahead of Correa on defense with that arm cannon are prime Ozzie Smith and prime Omar Vizquel. Correa's defense is the very best part of his game. He takes away so many infield hits and turns so many more double plays than a solid shortstop can. If the Astros do lose him to free agency, that's where they'll see the pain on a daily basis.

If I'm making any changes, it's Yuli in the 3 spot instead of Correa.

Prime Andrelton Simmons was on pace to blow past Ozzie in terms of DRS. There's still a chance when he's done that Simmons goes down as statistically the greatest defensive SS of all time

I should have separated that out a little better. I was answering 2 different things in one post.

1 question was about where everyone thinks Correa should hit, I like him in the 5th spot but would be on with him 3rd. Other part was addressing lineup moves in general. I agree with you, if rather have Yuli hitting 3rd right now.

Parking was easy yesterday, when traffic started backing up close to the stadium I just pulled off and found a metered spot near South Texas Law and just walked with all the other fans. Cost me like $3.

I'm thinking about heading straight Ninfas when I get off work at 5. Sit at the bar, watch ticket prices, see if any plummet. If they do, pull the trigger and hop on the shuttle. If they don't, finish my marg and head home in time to watch.

My only concern is Ninfas being absolutely packed by the time I get there around 5:30.
