one of my best friends is a Braves fan. I've asked him a few things. Says Soler will probably DH and that they don't really steal bases.12law said:
What's the scouting report on the Braves?
What else should I ask?

My best friend since Kindergarten is a Braves fan. I rooted for them last night but today, we are enemies… Bring on the hate!redline248 said:one of my best friends is a Braves fan. I've asked him a few things. Says Soler will probably DH and that they don't really steal bases.12law said:

Is Smyly their 4th starter or do they do a bullpen game like they did in the NLCS?
He reiterated today that Smith makes him nervous, and a guy named Luke Jackson.bearkatag15 said:

Wasn't he with the rangers for a while? Didn't we kinda own him?
Quote:
Atlanta slashed .255/.333/.451 against lefthanded starting pitchers during the regular season. The Braves' most potent bat, reigning National League Most Valuable Player Freddie Freeman, hits lefthanded. So does National League Championship Series MVP Eddie Rosario.
No major league starter induced more groundballs than Valdez, who predicates his arsenal with a sinking two-seam fastball and a curveball down in the strike zone. Atlanta's lineup had the sport's second-lowest groundball rate at 40.3 percent, behind only the National League West champion San Francisco Giants.
Castro is not starting any games at catcher. It's obvious based on Dusty's comments that he's a pinch hit / late game option only.AgsMyDude said:

Yesterday he said 4 would be bullpen.
Also that game had a baseball score late in the 3rd quarter until that TD.bearkatag15 said:Video proof. :07 mark. https://t.co/ftGgKFPkuj

Will Smith is the closer and he has had his moments, but has been able to get it done when it has mattered.
Luke Jackson is the normal set up man in the 8th and has been very good in the post season, until he had a rough 8th inning in Game 3 in LA that carried over to last night's game.
weird, I think he's been pretty good for themBulldog73 said:

I have always been a Charlie Morton fan, wish he was still pitching for the good guys!AggieLit said:bearkatag15 said:On the mound for Game 1 of the #WorldSeries:#BattleATL pic.twitter.com/DsrlV40NFq

I would be shocked if he didn't start every game there

Gerrit Cole reportedly got in Brett Gardner's face because he was making pine tar jokes after MLB cracked down on foreign substance usage, per @BobKlap pic.twitter.com/apON5cr65A

Oh for Pete's sake
That's how busting balls works. You're supposed to have a good enough friendship and thick enough skin to laugh about it and give it right back. With Gardner there's plenty to make fun of - it wouldn't have been hard. He underestimated how a high-strung whiny tenor like Cole would react.Mathguy64 said:
Why would a hitter go around making jokes about pine tar to a pitcher who obviously relied on tacky stuff to throw? That's idiotic on Gardner's part.
