Anybody know if the general public ticket sale has already happened/will happen? I saw that Atlanta is doing Tuesday. If not I'll keep watching stubhub for opportunities.

Hoping to get there for game 2! Small chance I am able to make it to game one too.

I'm still just highly amused at how all of this turned out for MLB and Manfred in particular. He may send a proxy to give out the WS trophy...neither city has any love for the commish.

Braves fans have to love the irony of having the ASG yanked from them, only to get to host multiple WS games.

You could put together an All-Star lineup of rap from both cities, too...Dirty South vs. Third Coast

Wow World Series tickets are expensive. I've never been but was thinking about making this one. Is it worth $1,500 per ticket?

Check out the Stubhub fees. $1,500 looks cheap.

Aggh. That guy is such a gamer at this level of postseason.

I got a screaming deal on the seats, and they were $9400 with fees and taxes for 4. However, nosebleeders would have been about $7800 and tax, so it just shows how silly the whole WS pricing is

It's worth ponying up if you can time it for a clinch game to witness

Paying an assload for an early game is kind of silly

Need to play that 2017 WS tribute to him again while he's on the mound getting ready to pitch.

Wouldn't it be a better world if the Astros had resigned him instead of Verlander?

Yep, seen WS games in 17 and 19. Now I'm more interested in seeing a clinching game. Tough part is, what's the best chance, game 6 or 7? Think i'm going with 6.

Do we think Odo gets a start in this series or would it be a bullpen game for game 4 like it was vs Boston?

No - JV won the Cy Young. Long term it would've been better but JV contributed greatly to 19 run.

Part of me says start Greinke in game 4 hoping that you get him one meaningful AB before he wears out. It would save one pinch hitter. But he's really struggled with right handed batters.

Game 4 pitching decision solely depends on what happens in first 3 games.

Even though Charlie is 4-6 in his last 10 starts, Tuesday night is gonna be all about scratching out as many runs as possible.

The Cy Young voting was Verlander, Cole, Morton that year

Atlanta tends to be lefty heavy in their lineup vs right handed starters. Getting Rosario and Freeman at the top of the lineup for ZG would be nice. Joc has been hitting 5th as well

Just kind of have to see how the start of the series goes.

When we bought tix for game 7 in 2017 it was pretty much a 'well if it gets to game 7 then we're set'. … glad it worked out the way it did!

With a potential 6/7 here at home, it's tough to say whether it'll be in HOU or ATL

If it wasn't for Hinch's terrible decisions in 19, we'd be playing for our 3rd title in 4 years.

And if either Morton or Cole stays it's quite possible we'd be playing for 4 straight titles this year.

It's been a hell of run and let's hope the young arms keep getting better.

I get everyone bags on Hinch for that move but this is not true. Anything could have happened, changing that one thing does not guarantee we win the game

Did I want the best pitcher in the league in the game? Yes. Did Will Harris make a good pitch? Yes. Was it a fluke shot? Yes.

Blame the hitters for not scoring at home in games 1, 2, 6 and 7. Blame JV and Cole for both struggling in home games.

2021 overall staff ERA ranks
#7 Houston - 3.76
#8 Atlanta - 3.88

2021 team batting average ranks
#1 Houston - .267
#12 Atlanta - .244

It looks like they have 2 batters that hit above .260 this year. Austin Riley and Freddie Freeman.

If Cole and Verlander don't implode in Games 1 and 2, that series never comes back to Houston. Hell, if Verlander pitches even halfway decent in either of his starts that series, it never gets to game 7. If Tucker ran out the play when Springer hit a deep ball into center field in game 1, we would have been tied at the end. I know Hinch is everyone's favorite punching bag over that game, but he was far from the only reason we lost that series.
