Astros top plays of the series (according to baseball-reference championship win probability added)

1) Game 4- Castro's 2 out single in the top of the 9th to break the 2-2 tie and start a huge inning.
2) Game 1- Altuve's 2 out, 2 run homer in the bottom of the 6th to tie the game at 3.
3) Game 4- Altuve's solo shot in the top of the 8th to tie it (down 2-1 at the time)
4) Game 6- Graveman/Machete's strike 'em out/throw 'em out double play in the top of the 7th (1 out, 2 on, up 2-0)
5) Game 5- Framber Valdez induces GIDP up 1-0 with 2 on in the bottom of the 5th
6) Game 1- Correa's solo shot HR in the bottom of the 7th to break a 1-1 tie.
7) Game 4- Correa's lead off double in the top of the 9th

After getting a chance to sleep on it, and then doing much reflection this morning, I've come to the conclusion that things are better when we make the World Series instead of losing 100+ games.

But now I remember a couple late ass World Series games in '17 but can't remember if they started late or just took 5 hours cause of Roberts changing pitchers every 2 minutes

This team is different, they have really rallied around each other, the maturity of Correa, altuve, and Gurriel, and Bregman, mixed in with younger guys is awesome. They are determined to win the Series!!! I couldn't fall asleep last night, but I'm so happy for this team

I want no part of the Dodgers now. There is no upside in beating them. The Astros could dominate and sweep them and all it will be about is how decimated they were in pitching and injuries. Loose to them and its all about cheating or lack there of. Hopefully the Braves do their job tonight.

Astros Revenge Tour is still engaged. A's and Rays taken out at the end of the season. White Sox WS loss avenged. Red Sox 2018 ALCS loss avenged. We have history with the Braves. They took us out so many times. If we get the Dodgers, we get to smack them for talking **** about 2017.

I see what you are saying, and they can cry about injuries all they want. They have a massive payroll, and some of their backups could be starters elsewhere. I don't care about that narrative. It's typical LA and NY: make excuses when someone else beats you.

That's insane. Ballsy call by Maldonado. Great execution by Graveman in that stressful situation. That's what Machete means to this team, as much as I hate his offensive struggles.

I think the ballsy call on that sequence was actually Graveman. If you notice he kept shaking Maldy off until he had to come for a mound visit. Graveman had confidence in it for that one pitch and it was awesome to set up the next one.

Graveman told Sparky he wanted to throw it and that sometimes you have to stick to your convictions.

Strom has been a huge part to this pitching staffs success. Really going to miss having him in the dugout.

I think it was the opposite, I think Maldi has to talk him into it. That's why Graveman still seems surprised it worked.

We have no idea if it was us tipping the pitch or Cora doing what he has done in the past to steal those signs illegally.

But the Astros were crucified LONG before there was any evidence of cheating, just because they obviously knew what pitch was coming.

Here was are with Boston, and NO ONE in the national media is saying anything about a team that WAY more obviously knew what pitches were coming in the early innings of Game 2 and 3. They'd swing at nothing even when they had 2 strikes, then every hitabke pitch they were all over. They looked like the greatest hitters in the history of the game. We changed the signs and suddenly they looked like the same non-contenders they've looked like for 2 years.

I think it's worth noting how Dusty played that 7th and it's a great example of him managing an exceptional series.

Typically Graveman would take the 8th but with the top of their lineup due up Dusty went with Graveman early.

It wasn't a perfect outing for Graveman but at the end of the day he nutted up and got the job done.

Just a perfect call that I don't think he makes in the regular season.

Dusty really has been outstanding this post season
