1990s me cannot believe I'm actively cheering for the Braves in the playoffs tonight.
I know this is everyone...

and I hate the Dodgers

but I think I am actually pulling for the Dodgers.

The Braves are just better and have a team of destiny feel.

plus...I feel like beating the Dodgers would be the perfect way to win this WS and complete the '17 revenge tour

Vegas will absolutely not feel the same way
Yep. Anyone rooting for the Dodgers is an idiot. Home field alone is worth playing the Braves.

There are plenty of reasons.

- **** the Dodgers and their ****ty fans.
- MLB will meltdown since no coastal blue bloods playing.
- MLB will be forced to host games at Atlanta.
- Home field advantage.
- Revenge for the 90's.
- **** the Dodgers again.

Ding ding ding we have a winner

I dunno, if we play the Dodgers, Pujols will have a few more chances to pad his stats before we retire his number at MMP.

A question for those that want the Dodgers in the World Series for a rematch and those that said you have to play the best yada yada yada.

Are you going to celebrate harder with a win over the Dodgers verse the Braves? Are you going to feel more accomplished?

Personally as a fan I don't care if they don't play the best. At the end of the series if they are holding up the trophy does it matter?

Would much, much rather have home field in the WS. Don't understand why this is even a question.

The only reason I have to root for the Dodgers is if I want home World Series games to fall over a weekend.

Other than that I'd prefer have 4 potential home games to the 3.

You have to root for home field advantage.

Plus, hearing the Atlanta crowd chant Let's Go Brandon in the WS would be awesome... especially after the horrible decision to remove the all star game from there.

Holding up the trophy regardless of the opponent is the ultimate goal. Would it be sweeter to have Kelly and Behlinger crying in the dugout? Sure, but I would much rather have home field and win the whole damn thing than anything else.

never root for dodgers or yankees. plus, i still want payback from the 90s and there is no smoltz, maddux, glavine walking through the door to save the day.

Things that bring me joy, in order:

1) the Astros winning
2) NY losing
3) dodgers losing
4) Boston losing

1 down, 3 to go.

#3 happening now, in addition to intrinsically bringing me joy, also helps #1 happen. Go Braves.

would enjoy hearing Smoltz cry on live TV as the Stros piss all over the braves

If it's us and the Braves, will Fox's booth be Buck, Smoltz, Keke and Mookie Betts?

I feel like at this point, this has to be true. I mean there's no way it isn't true. I can somewhat understand fans putting their heads in the sand and denying it so calling out the Astros. But, what I don't get, is other players doing it. Some of the comments they make, see Judge, or the actions they take, see Kelly, just don't make sense. Is it just a hollier than thou mindset? Just seems extremely hypocritical

thanks for the link. The Astros got all the hate because they crushed the vaunted Red Sox, embarrassed the "flagship" (lol at those has-beens) and upset the trashy dodgers in 2017. Amazing the Stros were able to overcome both opponents and MLB.

See Trevor Bauer for example. The ones who were the most outspoken and quickest to point fingers were usually the ones who also had skeletons in their closets. Judge was on the Yankees and we might never know what was in the letter that remains sealed. Joe Kelly was on the Red Sox who had the Apple Watch scandal and there's no telling what else happened in Boston during that time. We all know about the Trevor Bauer situation... not to mention is wildly decreased spin rate since the sticky stuff crackdown. Cody Bellinger ran his mouth a lot and the whole Dodgers pitching staff has seen a decrease in spin rate.

It kinda goes with what I've always observed with life in general. Those who are the quickest to cast stones usually have done a lot of wrong themselves.

Atlanta has to win game 6 tomorrow. After blowing the 3-1 lead last year to lose and then blowing 3-1 to get to game 7 this year, their nuts would be in their throats.

The question is would the home crowd and CFM on the mound be enough to offset that.

Did anyone else notice during the game last night they ran a graphic that read "Dodgers' Injury Woes" and they had Bauer as one of the "injured"? What BS

Yeah, I guess I just give too much credit to people in general. Personally, I wouldn't bring attention to myself. Going to be a lot of good clips to playback if something every comes to light on those you mentioned. But, alas, people are really, really stupid.

speaking of Chris Sale...one of the most over-rated / over-hyped pitchers of the past decade.

his stats in 10 postseason appearances:

10 games
7 starts

36 innings pitched

24 earned runs...(14 vs. the Astros)
36 hits
13 walks

6.35 ERA
1.44 WHIP

Jesus Christ this is just stupid. Using postseason stats to call him overrated is lazy. Best K/BB ratio of all time. On pace to blow past 3,000 Ks. WHIP near 1.000. 3.03 ERA. 140 career ERA+.

Don't act like you wouldn't love to have him in Houston, because I would.

This just says that the Astros have his number.

I'm sorry to get political here but I find it extremely funny how humans fall back on instincts to get that edge to win a competition. You have countless examples of people cheating the system in sports, the financial world, businesses, fraud within government, but somehow elections are the only completion where ZERO fraud or cheating is involved? People out there believe this with a straight face. Really? That is the one thing where trying to get a win at any cost isn't tried. Give me a f***ing break. Ok, old man rant is done. Back to baseball everyone!!!!

Joe Kelly's deal with the Astros is the "snitching" they did after getting immunity and not the sign stealing. Apparently, everyone is willing to overlook that and the fact he was cheater, because he does what the fans wish they could do, throw at the Astros.

I think most players who are making comments are guilty themselves and are just trying to keep the spotlight on the Astros. As long as it's on the Astros, it's not on them.

Everyone knows it was widespread...but the continual harping on the Astros allows for them to feel better about their team.

I tell everyone that will listen that EVERY team in the MLB has cheated, or is currently cheating in someway. The Astros were merely the whipping boy for it all. I also tell them that loads of former players speak out about cheating, sticky stuff, sign stealing, etc. So it happens, but the public, like people said earlier, love to bury their heads in the sand

Craig Biggio in the postseason:

40 G, 2 HR, .234/.295/.323

Jeff Bagwell in the postseason:

33 G, 2 HR, .226/.364/.321

Damn overrated players! Guess you'll be driving to Cooperstown to take their plaques down, right? I mean the stats are right there.

If we get by the Sox, I want the Dodgers even it were 7 games in LA.

The possibility of watching Joe Kelly's gay ass as well as the rest of the Dodgers and their fans crying far outweighs playing anyone else or losing.

To me, that screams an obsession with the Dodgers that overshadows the desire for a championship. Give me home field advantage. I just want a trophy.
