I just don't get the love on this thread for Maldonado. I've been a Maldonado critic all along. No defensive advantage is worth the liability he is at the plate. It's a YUGE liability.

Honestly if I were them I would just swing wildly 2 times cause once we get 2 strikes on a guy we just throw **** pitches

Exactly. Some of the decisions on pitches he's called have left me wondering if he read the scouting report.

Wish we still had Evan Gattis. At least when he had bad games he still looked like a mean cave man.

It's absolutely incredible how difficult our starting pitching is making everything look. Our bullpen has (mostly been fine). But every at bat is like 8 pitches. Feels like half end in walks. Just unable to hit the strike zone at all. This lineup is hot, but we're giving them all sorts of free bases and hitters counts.

Feels like what rookie pitchers pitching to an All Star team would feel like.

As rough as it is to see a starter yanked this early, I think it's our best chance. Don't let their hitters settle in. Give them a bunch of different looks.

It's not like Greinke "has it" tonight anyway.

Even when we were losing 100 games a year our starters still got through 3 innings. Never seen this kind of pitching collapse.
