If you put down the orange tinted glasses for a minute, it's obvious who the more complete team is right now. You can't expect to win a series with starting pitching performances like this. I know y'all will accuse me of being negative, but think objectively.
But that is the funny thing about baseball. Just because Framber and Luis sucked in the last game doesn't mean they will suck next game. Agree, injured Luis is a big concern, but the trend I would put more stock in is the year long performance of each and the staff in general.

I'll admit it, I'm not feeling great about it...

But if we win tonight, I'll start feeling good again. It's the swings of postseason baseball.

Here's how I see the series playing out

- We split games 3/4. Urquidy is solid and Greinke eats innings.
- Both teams go bullpen game 5 and we win due to clutch hitting
- Win Game 6 at home with Framber to clinch the series in a surprisingly lower scoring game.

Bregman and Yordan both have clutch HR to win us a game at Fenway

I'm feeling GREAT about tonight. Nervous as hell, but optimistic. My xYAY+ is sitting at about a 1.89 leading into the game.

Having been to a game in Fenway, it may be a great old park but it sucks in several ways. Its crowded and very difficult to get in to, the seats blow, the concourses (ok thats generous to call them that) are impossible to navigate and the bathrooms smell like a 100 year old open sewer (which they are).
I found it rather easy to get to.
I found the concourse easy to navigate. Not to mention you can access the street behind home plate for food/and drink during the game and not feel crowded at all.
I found the bathrooms to be excellent considering the age of the field.

As a baseball purist and fan I found Fenway to be heaven on earth frankly.

The seats however do suck.

Brantley's got a great, quick swing. Hopefully he turns on some fastballs and gets a Pesky Pole HR or two

I mean...Pitchers should be able to throw quality strikes that aren't meatballs that can't get taken deep.

Come on. Even the best pitchers in the league give up home runs.

Well yeah of course.

And when they throw meatballs that get ripped for grand slams we get upset.

We're fans. That's what we do.

Let's hope he is as good as Urias was coming out of the bullpen last night.

I get it, but I think this is a bad idea. I'm sure it's his time for his BP session between starts, but throwing an inning of playoff baseball vs throwing a BP session to get ready for your next start is very different.

Eduardo Rodriguez has been pretty awful at Fenway this year sporting almost a 6 ERA

Houston has faced Rodriguez twice this year, once in MMP and once in Fenway.

He went a total of 9.1 innings pitched, gave up 12 runs, 13 hits, 5 walks, 9 Ks

Based on who was used on Saturday and how our bullpen has done, we should be fine if he gives us 4+. If we can cut the game in half and only need 12-15 outs from our BP then I'll consider it a win.

With a day off the following guys should be fresh and ready to go for at least an inning….. Everybody on the pitching roster besides Odo, Framber, Greinke, Luis Garcia

I hope they bring him in, and we make him throw a ton of pitches and touch him up for minimum 2 runs.

5 innings of 3 run ball from Urquidy. He does that at minimum, I'd be happy.

The lineup the first time we faced him was dreadful by our standards. No Yuli, No Brantley, No Alvarez. Urquidy pitched and we won.
Tuve
Chas
Bregman
Correa
Tucker
Diaz
Jones
Straw
Maldonado

Second time still had Jones, Maldy, and Straw as our 7-8-9... Greinke pitched and we lost on a bullpen blow up day. (Bielak, Taylor, Paredes)
Tuve
Correa
Bregman
Alvarez
Yuli
Tucker
Jones
Maldonado
Straw

Strikeouts were:
Chas
Bregman
Correa
Chas
Bregman
Maldonado
Straw

Man...can't believe it's been 17 years. I remember watching this in my dorm room, no sound, with my roommate asleep on the other side of the room. Pretty sure he wanted to kill me for waking him up, but I didn't care.

My dad and I were in right field under the overhang for this game.. The explosion of noise when that ball when out was something will never forget. Also reminds me how sports brings people of all backgrounds together. I hugged more people around me in celebration than I can count.

He's 100% going to overplay a ball off the monster in left center and then try to hit one 500 feet and whiff with a guy on third and one out
