Personally I want Astros Braves. Historical matchup from the old NL days, plenty of storylines there. Plus, probably an easier matchup for us.

Go with what MLB would implement in a Game 163 tie-breaker scenario: The team in each league with the best record gets to choose A, B, C, or D designation; A would play the wild card winner (D), and the other two division winners (B & C) would face each other. In other words, The best team could chose to face another division winner or the wild card winner.Bobcat-Ag said:BMX Bandit said:then get rid of divisions. hard passBobcat-Ag said:
It's a shame that the 2 best teams in the NL met in the NLDS. That should have been a match up in the NLCS.
I'm fine with divisions, just after the wild card game, the teams are seeded based on record.

Is he really our home plate ump?
I thought umpires only got one postseason assignment per year. After that, they were done.Mr President Elect said:Ags #1 said:

I was just kidding, but was thinking this guy is going to get a call for an assignment change to us after that call. Still just sour after game 3 and that Altuve home run/ "fan interference" and a few others, but we're not the only ones to get screwed.
I think they have to skip a round, so if they crewed an ALDS/NLDS series, they are eligible to crew a WS.EastCoastAgNc said:I thought umpires only got one postseason assignment per year. After that, they were done.Mr President Elect said:Ags #1 said:

Lol. Lifting the trophy against the Braves still makes you the champs. No reason to go after the deeper team just to prove a point
Plus if the lose to the Dodgers its not because they lost Verlander, Keuchel, Springer and the Dodgers added Scherzer, Betts and Turner. Its because the Astros lost their trashcans.
Quite the stretchMr President Elect said:
I have no idea, I was only making a joke.
That would be a bit dumb if they did because there are only so many good umps. So you're probably right b/c of course mlb.
Still irritated how bad that game 3 guy was and if we wouldn't have lost that game, Lance would still be with us.
As Mean Joe Green once said about playing against Earl Campbell, "When the best don't play the best, everyone gets cheated."TarponChaser said:n_touch said:EastCoastAgNc said:

This line is from a McTaggart article yesterday talking about pitching options if LMJ can't go. Dusty is going to have some fake optimism for Odo isn't he?Quote:
Odorizzi went 1-1 with a 2.93 ERA in his final seven starts to end the season before being left off the ALDS roster. He hasn't pitched since Oct. 2.
$129 for the top of the stadium. That's not to include higher pricing for parking and how much you will spend at the game. It prices a lot of fans out. I could easily 2 people running up to $400 for the game.Texaggie7nine said:

I wonder if it's really a recession and people just can't afford the prices or Covid or what.
The nosebleed corners have entire sections of back rows. Like 15 of the last back rows are unsold.OKCAg2002 said:

Eh kinda. Wasn't exact same pitch, it was a breaking ball that kinda dropped across the top, k-zone had the zone split across the zone (was the 2-2 pitch btw). These don't get called all that often. Wainright said he wanted that and AJ said it was too high. That ended up leading to 1 run. We didn't score any runs with two outs.htxag09 said:
Absolutely, but you're using a bit of selected memory. Yordan was in a 3-2 count and that exact pitch was called a ball on him. If I'm not mis-remembering that started our first rally that led to 3 runs.
The biggest gripe is absolutely the cluster **** of the play with non runners interference, though.
