Correa has been playing very well.

Right now Josey, Yuli, Machete, and our bench (PH) are a combined 3-36 with 1 double and 2 RBI. That's the issue offensively.

TED, Alvarez, Correa, Bregman, Chas, & Jake are all mashing.
I just meant that the big moment - the walk off type. I know the double in Game 2 was huge. I'm just thinking that Joe Kelly moment in LA this year. That's what I'm talking about.

This crap about "establishing a lane" is such monumental BS. The basepaths exist for a reason and Grandal was 100% outside the basepath to purposely obstruct a play.

Did you know the White Sox struck out 13 times last night? I didn't know it...and that's b/c the broadcast spent every waking second talking about all the Astros strike outs. Which was only 3 more than the White Sox.

Rain in the forecast starting about an hour before game time all the way through midnight. MLB made the decision, not the WS

I think it's the thunderstorm more than just rain that is causing them to postpone it, right?

Jake Kaplan has an article on the Athletic talking about last night's bullpen usage. He says Dusty went to Yimi because he gets ready the quickest, is good with inherited runners, and they wanted Leury to bat LH. Said Javier takes much longer to get ready. Those are Dusty's arguments.

Kaplan provides that Yimi has a 61.6% left-on-base rate this year, but was only up in the pen "moments" before Dusty called on him, implying he wasn't warm. Then Kaplan argues Maton would have been the best option b/c his curveball is hard on lefties. I know everyone would have probably hated Maton or Raley in that spot even more than Yimi.

In my eyes, the problem wasn't really bringing Yimi in. The problem was bringing him in with the count already 2-0. He basically was backed into throwing a fastball.

Although, given everything, I think Maldy should have called a breaking ball on that first pitch instead of a fastball up and in. Garcia might have been aggressive give the situation if the breaking ball was close enough to the zone.

Honestly for me it's not about who came in but when.

No reliever should ever get put into a high leverage spot mid AB. Much less down in the count 2-0 in a playoff game on the road in that environment.

I'd be worried if it was Mariano Rivera.

So for me whoever it was going to be was not put in a situation to succeed.

What's not being said about Grandal is he's left handed. His lane is a direct line from his box to 1B. He wasn't running to his own bag. He was out of his base path. It's idiotic to say he gets to make his own. Because some genius is going to bunt down 3B line and start moving to 3B to block a throw. Now they get to say "it's my path". They literally made **** up last night. All because they didn't want to be the bad umpires and call him out for "being smart".

What he supposed to say?

The Astros are Lynn's daddy and I made a huge mistake starting him in game 1. Now, my only real option is a gimpy Rodon because I blew through my pitching yesterday.
