Very ugly Series W against a putrid team but I will take that over what looked to be a series loss about 15 mins ago

I'm gonna make a bold prediction that we have homefield advantage in the ALCS but the Rays finish in front of us.
Like in 2017 the Indians had best record but were knocked off by the wild card winning Yankees

13 games before we go Back to West Coast followed by Ray's and A's to end season.

Calling my shot 9-4

I'll say 8-5

AJ's Tigers just won 2 versus the Rays.

Imagine if you hadn't fired him, Jim Crane

oh, the Angels did not shutdown Ohtani --- he started today.

which means he won't pitch against the 'stros in this upcoming series

Magic number 8 on the A's and 6 on the M's. We could go 6-8 the rest of the way and the A's would have to be perfect. Time is, as they say, on our side.

He managed scared in one game. One. Unfortunately it was the biggest game in 2 years. I still to this day do not understand leaving that bullet in a chamber unfired.

I don't feel an ounce of sorrow. He chose the money. Comes with the territory. Actually makes me smile.

Yeah I love the commentary...What's wrong with these people?

Um...They're Yankee fans. This isn't new behavior.

Astros next 7 games:
4 @Angels
3 @A's

Rays next 6 games:
3 v Blue Jays
3 v Marlins

White Sox next 8 games:
3 @ Tigers
5 @ Indians

A's next 7 games:
4 v Mariners
3 v Astros

Mariners next 7 games:
4 @ A's
3 @ Angels

Astros currently 3 behind in loss column of Rays, 3 ahead of White Sox, 6 ahead of A's, and 8 ahead of Mariners. These next two series are a huge opportunity to put pressure on the Rays and put some distance between themselves and the White Sox, A's, and Mariners. Depending on how the Mariners v A's 4 game series shakes out I think the Astros could all but clinch the division after their next 7 games.

Astros need to win the division. Otherwise there are 3 teams in the AL East currently 4 to 6 back in the loss column (Red Sox, Blue Jays, Yankees) competing for a wildcard spot. Any cratering or taking a series or two off could be disastrous.

Realistic expectation for the Astros in this 7 game stretch is 5-2, winning each series but losing a game.

You'd love to see them take charge and get on a roll in this stretch, setting themselves up to take the top AL seed from the Rays in the upcoming 3 game series.

Having watched most of this season I'm pretty sure something less desirable will happen, though they should still win the division.

the Toronto-Tampa series is a blockbuster this week.

every team is rooting for the Rays...except the Astros.

the Red Sox swept the Orioles this past weekend as they should...now it's New York's turn to do that to another bottom-feeder (Rangers).

regarding the AL West...if the Astros win 3 of 4 in Anaheim...it almost doesn't matter what happens in the Oakland-Seattle series

***Unpopular opinion Alert***

Siri needs to have a little respect and get it figured out that he's just a rook, and act like it. Any time he connects he likes to pimp it and stare. He needs to recognize he's like the 5th or 6th outfielder on this team and when at full strength most likely to be sent down. Hit a jack and watch it ok, hit it and jog and bat flip ok but he's too much in my opinion for a rookie with like 20AB

Add to that his little attitude when he K'd earlier in the game and flipped his bat half back to the dugout and then spiked his helmet on the plate.

I'm sorry, just not a fan. He could learn a thing or two from watching Meyers and how he handles himself.

Old man rant over, feel free to roast me. Just my feeling, and I'll leave it with "the baseball Gods know"

I'm not gonna roast you.

I'm gonna disagree with you but not roast you.

It's a personal preference thing. I like the confidence he plays with and the swagger. If he feels that's what's best for his game then he can pimp it all he wants as long as he's producing.

Now if he starts sucking he'll just be young Carlos Gomez. Nobody likes Carlos Gomez.

It's not the flair that I have an issue with. Tatis great for the game, Carlos and Bregman good stuff, so on and so forth. My issue is a brand new rook who came up on roster expansion doing it.

Also of note I took more issue with the strikeout than when he hit the HR.

I am hoping that Siri does cartwheels and backflips around the basepaths for us in the playoffs...just like that annoying punk Soto.

It can be hated if another team does it to you, but should be cherished if your team does it
