The Pear!
If he could stay healthy I think he'd get just as much run as Marwin used to and he'd probably start somewhere for just about every team in the league, but until he can put a full season together he probably doesn't need to worry about his role.Deluxe said:PSully97 said:
If he could stay healthy he'd never be a bench player in the first place.
Injury aside, I wonder what Diaz thinks about his role with this team. Cuz I agree, talent wise he should be starting somewhere. But we just kinda have him here as a luxury utility option cuz our IF is stacked. And he can't go anywhere til after 2023 I think. So either way, he's stuck here for a while longer unless we deal him.

Straw tried to go back to back...he forgot he has no power
Alex Bregman left tonight’s game with a left quad strain.

Straw is on pace to match Ozzie's 28 career home runs in only 108 more seasons.mwm said:
For all you guys ragging on Straw's lack of power...Ozzie Smith is on the line. He had a pretty good HOF career.
Ozzie didn't go up there trying to hit a home run every time.mwm said:

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. When you least expect it, Straw will surprise everyone (including me).

Straw counts it as a home run if it goes more than 200 ft in the air.
