Because it's a 4 run deficit in the 8th...

He gets on and Maldy and Straw still have to bat behind him. What are you gaining?

At this point in the game he's more valuable as a PH option if you're down one run with a man on base and Maldy or Straw is up.

that's fine. 1 thing I know is Taylor wasn't doing **** in that AB so anyone other than him would have been better.

Pitching sucked, but dropping two fly balls in one inning is just as bad, if not worse.

I'm happy with the series win. But this game felt like one of those San Diego losses. You can't score 8 runs and lose a game.

Need to keep the offense going and sweep Minnesota

I believe that makes us 2-5 in our 7 opportunities this year to close out a sweep (Ws being opening series against OAK and the recent 4-game home series against TEX)
