Strom doesn't f*** around with his mound visits, he was on Paredes a**.
Maybe that's what he needs.
Credit where credit is due for a nice inning there. Just don't think we can rely on him in a meaningful spot anytime soon.

I'd like to see that balk call again. But this production is terrible.
Dusty Baker on Straw out at plate: “I have some issue about not sliding at the plate when Carlos was telling him to slide, slide, slide. If he would have, he probably would have been safe. That was a big play.”

Carlos was signaling for Straw to slide. Not sure why he didn't.
Hell of a throw by LGJ though. Had to be an absolute dime, and it was.
That's the thing. One of the best arms in lf, have any baseball sense you know there'll be a play at the plate. Anticipate it and slide.
Oh, you have no baseball sense so you didn't anticipate it? Look at the on deck batter waving at you to slide?
Oh, you don't want to slide. Get thrown out and ruin a rally and have the other team starting pitcher laugh at you for being such an idiot
Update: Dusty Baker just spoke to Myles Straw, who told him the ump was blocking his view of Correa, which some of you had suggested. So Straw didn't see Correa telling him to slide.

Plan is basically to do 8-10 spot checks per game of pitchers for substances. Position players will be checked too. Get ready for the games to take longer

I predict they find nothing but a bunch of pushback from the MLBPA.

He's got an OPS of .600. He's hitting .245 on a season of singles. He gets thrown out on the bases a lot and is a minus minus CFer. He literally brings nothing to the team. Nothing but stupid outs.
Well thank goodness we have a runner on 2nd in extra innings thenEastCoastAgNc said:

I've been watching this game. He is such an elite pitcher. Easily the best pitcher in the game todayredline248 said:
Unrelated to the Astros (but y'all are my baseball friends) I'm watching Mets v Padres. Degrom on the bump. I had no idea he was 101 with a low to mid 90s slider.
