Agreed. But, we are the ones saying that without the threat of a ball hitting us. All his life he's been avoiding being hit by a pitch. At this point in his career, it's natural instinct to avoid.

It really is the dumbest rule.

Two pop flies to the outfield shouldn't win a team a game when they couldn't defend to get the guy on second out.

There is literally no one else that Dusty could have put in that you woods have been ok with.

And that's why I said the runner on second rule absolutely favors the stronger bullpen.

At least in this situation Raley only gives up one and we might have a chance to tie.
