I know this is captain obvious but altuve is a completely different player when he is patient and selective with his at bats.

That can be applied to most players but he specifically has tendencies to really swing at junk and expand his zone and puts him into a complete tailspin bc pitchers just won't test him.

It's like night and day when he gets walks. Rather watch him have a 1-3 night with 2 walks verse a 1-5 night with a bomb and 4 strikeouts.

His accent is country AF. I know he's a pitcher and he said Adam Everett got called up at the tail end of his career, so Reynolds might be right.

Straw is improving. Seeing the ball better, not swinging at stuff way out of the zone & having much better ABs. Just has zero power, so needs to quit taking big majestic swings resulting in 275' outs and hit the damn ball on the ground.
