It's really frustrating because you are right. It's obvious this pitcher has a hard time squaring up the strike zone and doesn't have "nasty" pitches. It SHOULD be a matter of time until he gets lit up.

Yep. Didn't swing out of his shoes and just poked it to left. Wish our hitters would do that occasionally.


A ball that high is really hard to get on top of though. Most pop that up. It was at his neck.

I wonder if the swings have anything to do with no on field BP, not use to the batter's eye and just not seeing it? Anderson throws over the top too so that probably doesn't help.

Agreed. It was a ball but a good piece of hitting where you tip your cap.
