As hot as he is right now I wouldn't put it past him. I'm just worried he peaked too early and is going to cool off for the playoffs.

that's a good question.

I think a few 6-hole hitters have done that --- maybe on the 90's Mariners / Yankees or 70's Reds / Red Sox

considering how good he still is now at this age, Yuli might've been a HOF-caliber player if he had played his entire career in the US. I really hope he wins the batting title. I'd like him to be remembered outside of Houston.

okay, the 1977 Boston Red Sox...one of the all-time lineups of death...

Butch Hobson posted 112 RBI primarily hitting in the 7th & 8th spots in the order.

Rice, Yaz, and Fisk also drove in 100+ that season as the 3-4-5 hitters.

George Scott was the 6-hole hitter. Fred Lynn batted 2nd.

they were alternating L-R-L-R back then too

I do still miss some of our old NL rivals, but the move couldn't have worked out better for us.
